An additional teaser trailer for The Black Invasion, the opening segment of the most recent episode, Be Forever Yamato REBEL 3199, has been made available by the Space Battleship Yamato remake anime series. In Japan, the 30-second clip, which debuted during Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love, will be made available on April 19. It was first streamed on YouTube EMOTION Label Channel.
The Space Battleship Yamato and the Wave-motion Test Ship Ginga are among the scenes shown in the clip. On July 19, 2024, the first of the new seven-chapter series is slated to premiere in Japan.
New teaser for Be Forever Yamato REBEL 3199 is out.
A teaser trailer for the first movie, Kuro no Shinryaku, has been released on the official website for Yamato yo Towa ni: Rebel 3199, the next project in the Space Battleship Yamato remakes. The teaser gives a sneak peek at Grand Rebirth, an enigmatic gigantic object headed for Earth, and a menacing message telling the Yamato crew to get back together. Beginning on July 19, seven films showcasing the animation will be released.
The following new cast members will be appearing in the upcoming films:
- Takuya Eguchi as Lambell, Makoto Furukawa as Alphon, Shun Horie as Isidore, and Yūto Uemura as Takeshi Ageha
- Toriumi Kōsuke as Seiya Kitano
The new anime is being directed by Naomichi Yamato, while Harutoshi Fukui is in charge of supervision and scriptwriting. The narrative is co-written by Hideki Oka, while character designer Nobuteru Yuki is back. Yasushi Ishizu, Mika Akitaka, and Junichirō Tamamori designed the mechanical components. The CG director is Shōsuke Uechi, while the CG producer is Hiroyuki Goto. The director of sound is Tomohiro Yoshida.
The late producer Yoshinobu Nishizaki created the original work, with his son Shōji Nishizaki overseeing production and copyrights. Akira Miyagawa and Shu Kanematsu will create the music once again. His late father, Hiroshi Miyagawa, is also credited with creating the original Space Battleship Yamato compositions.
The Garmillas residual empire that can be seen in Space Battleship Yamato III and Final Yamato is the subject of Fukui’s previous statement, made during a discussion event, that “Of course, Garman Garmillas will appear” in the new anime. Along with that, he affirmed that the project will consist of 26 episodes. Subsequently, Fukui revealed that, in spite of the movie’s title, the story will begin in 2207. It will not warp to 3199 instantly, he clarified.

The 26-episode anime series Be Forever Yamato: REBEL 3199, also dubbed Star Blazers REBEL 3199, is the direct continuation of Space Battleship Yamato 2205: The New Voyage. The final sequence of 2205’s second film, Part 2: Stasha, revealed the series.
The anime’s official website describes its story:
Tanks with several legs landing. The capital was overwhelmed in the span of a single glance. Is the Earth unable to withstand? The crew of the ancient Yamato fleet gets a top-secret order at that precise moment. “March on Yamato!” Then there’s a voice, singing inexplicably. “I’m back,” a mystery man murmurs. What is the unexpected identity of the invader? The Space Battleship Yamato is now setting out on a journey into a time and space that have never been explored before, with the future of humanity on the line.
“The year is 2207 A.D. Two years have passed since the disappearance of Gamilas and Iskandar. Suddenly, a mysterious giant object, ‘Grand Reverse,’ appeared in the solar system. Despite the best efforts of the Earth Defense Forces, ‘Grand Reverse’ easily broke through multiple layers of defenses and descended into the Earth’s new capital city. Swarms of descending soldiers appeared without a sound.
There is also increasing fulfillment on the drama side. Kodai Susumu is unable to shake his regret after Mori Yuki is taken prisoner by enemy officer Alfon; their love is tested when they are apart. In addition, Sasha, Starsha’s orphan, will play a significant role. All of the characters act according to their own will, and a furious and tense battle ensues, raising new questions about the significance of that conflict.”
